RIGID BOARD

Rigid PCB's

Hi-Q Electronics can be your source for all your high quality PCB needs.  We have been providing state of the art PCBs for companies that hail from a variety of industries. We can provide all kind of PCBs such as single sided (one copper layer) , double sided ( two copper layers) and multi-layer upto 38 layers ( outer and inner layers of copper). Multilayer printed circuit boards are used widely in electronic industry  with the advent of SMD population.  These PCB's are found almost everywhere – from smartphone to kitchen appliances, aircraft's to automobiles, medical devices to consumer electronics.

HDI – High Density Interconnect Boards

HDI boards, one of the fastest growing technologies in PCBs, are now available at HI-Q. Normal through hole boards will have drills only from top to bottom layers where as  High Density Interconnect PCBs will have combination of Blind Via holes, Buried via holes and through holes.

With the HDI design, we can have increased interconnection density by miniaturization of holes, pads and conductors. This provides the possibility to have a via hole connect direct in SMD or BGA pad.  HDI will have improved signal integrity due to track length. Alignment of internal layers done one layer at a time hence better registration of internal layers.

There are several types of HDI boards, through vias from surface to surface, with buried vias and through vias, two or more HDI layer with through vias, passive substrate with no electrical connection, coreless construction using layer pairs and alternate constructions of coreless constructions using layer pairs etc.,

Rigid Flex Boards

Rigid flex boards combine the best of both rigid boards and flexible circuits integrated together into one circuit.  The two-in-one circuit is interconnected through plated thru holes. Rigid flex circuits provide higher component density and better quality control. Designs are rigid where extra support is needed and flexible around corners and areas requiring extra space.

Most of the rigid flex designs will have multiple layers with 2 or more flexi layers in it.  The flexi layers are attached to one or more rigid surfaces according to the design requirements. The biggest advantage of a flexi rigid board is that it is more space efficiency compared to a pure rigid board. The flexi portion can be twisted, bent of folded to the desired shape as per the package requirement. Because of all these benefits, Rigid flex boards have been used in the Military and aerospace industries for more than 20 years.
